Who should attend?

Teachers and Learning Support Staff who know they can improve the outcomes of people with ADHD, Aspergers or HFA with the right knowledge, skills and interventions.

How can you accomplish this?

The training has been structured to be interactive, combining classroom learning with practical application.  We aim to ensure levels of understanding are consistent within the group, therefore it is important to attend each training day and read sections of the manual as directed.

Diploma Assignment – Post Training (Optional)

You will work with a volunteer who has ADHD, Aspergers or High Functioning Autism for your case study.  This must be prepared and submitted within 4 months of the course completion date.  The following must be included in the assignment (2,000-2,500 words) :

  • Tools/techniques used; saying why, what and how you used them + overall outcome.
  • How the training has changed the way you support people with ADHD, Aspergers or High Functioning Autism.

This course is so helpful that I think it should be compulsory for all teachers to attend, so all I have learned and understood could be taken further in the classroom helping all children with problems learning and backing up what we do at home.
